At Shopify, we’ve been uniquely positioned in building a platform to help entrepreneurs all over the world start and grow their businesses online and offline. Over the last 8 years since we first launched the Shopify API in 2011, we’ve learned a lot of valuable lessons about how to build a platform that is optimized for growth. Giuliano Bossi, Director of Engenireering of Platform at Shopify is going to share some of the key lessons that Shopify has learned over the years while building this community of developers. He’ll talk about API design, how the team has built a framework to enable apps to plugin to Shopify’s UI and how machine learning algorithms power the Shopify App Store.
