Andrei Oprisan is a technology professional with experience managing high performance engineering teams, direct software engineering experience, and a technology consulting background. He has experience managing multiple technical platforms and migrating to newer ones when needed, with experience scaling an engineering organization in a high-growth environment, both as remote contractors and co-located, full-time employees. He puts his strong consensus building skills, negotiation, and decision-making skills, coupled with sound judgment, to good use to help grow teams, while being able to both code and mentor and lead engineers at the technical level.

Currently at Wayfair, Andrei leads the global sales research and development department, across product, engineering and design functions. We're focused on building Wayfair's moat through sales agent driven sales, provinding a higher touch, personalized and vertical integrated experience for B2B and specialized B2C sales. He is part of Wayfair's senior executive leadership team and reports to the CTO.

Previously as a VP of technology for Global Retail Markets for the US market at Liberty Mutual, Andrei led a customer centric transformation of digital teams, leading all digital customer facing properties and assets for Liberty Mutual and Safeco brands, and oversees the 250 person strong Boston Tech Hub that he built out. At HubSpot Labs, the startup incubator within HubSpot, he helped engineering efforts to build the largest marketing community platform, among other R&D projects. At MRM McCann / Optaros, a full services digital commerce consulting group, Andrei was engaged in mobile application development and web eCommerce projects, including development of a multi-language, multi-currency solution for a large European retailer and contributing to engineering efforts in the areas of advanced hosting and platform techniques.
